When I Think of Research…
Over the
last eight weeks, I’ve learned the importance of having the right tools and
expertise when it comes to conducting research.
I’ve learned that every research process begins as a search for answers
to fascinating questions asked by inquiring people and that research is the
professional tool that helps to answer those questions. I’ve learned to
identify research subtopic and review related research literature; I’ve learned
to apply specific research designs to a hypothetical research hypothesis; I’ve
learned how to apply qualitative design to a hypothetical research scenario and
evaluate the implications. I also learned how to apply mixed-method principles
to research in early childhood field, which has helped me to become a more
informed and analytical consumer. I would like to take this opportunity to
thank my colleagues for the invaluable source of information they have shared
over the course of this class and I look forward to collaborating with each of
you in future courses in Early Childhood Education.
Great analogy on how research begins. The research design model is a step by step question and answer process. Thanks for sharing your blog with me over the past 8 weeks best regards.
ReplyDeleteSandra,
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed reviewing your blog post this course. You openly provided accurate information and insightful professional perspective! I to believe research is highly fascinating and is critically important in our profession to enhance the livelihoods of young children and their families around the world. Good luck throughout this journey of the Masters program!
Sandra,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your discussions and blog post throughout the course. I too believe that research takes dedication and hard work to accomplish the set goals but the end results makes it well worth it. I'm not a true fan of research but I do know it helps especially in the medical aspect of research. The thing that I wil take away from this is the design research model because it provides a step by step guide I can follow if I choose to pursue my doctorate degree in the future.
I look forward to having you in courses in the future but I will be completing this degree in December so I'm close to doing my victory march of accomplishing my second master's degree.
