I believe President Obama is a competent
communicator. He’s confident and speaks
with conviction. His charisma gives him
the ability to captivate a diverse audience.
He doesn’t focus on impressing people with big words or complex
sentences he makes a point of simplifying his message and always states what he
thinks or would do, by stating this is what I think or this is what I would
do. Communication is not just what you
say, it’s about how you say it.
The key to President Obama being an effective communicator is
simplicity. Developing excellent
communication skills is absolutely essential to effective leadership. Napoleon Bonaparte use to tell his secretaries,
“Be clear, be clear, be clear.”
Sandra, I think your assessment of President Obama is true. Another wonderful communicator that inspired our nation was President John F. Kennedy. I was about 10 when he was assassinated, his impact on our nations is still felt today
ReplyDeleteHi! Sandra, great post and I also agree with President Obama and his clear and strong communication technique. I have also realized that when he gives speech, he gives it with confident, clear, and slowly so everyone can understand his speech. It can covers large population.
ReplyDeleteSandra! Wonderful post! I glad you pointed out simplicity! As Early Childhood Professionals we must keep our conversation and directions simple if we want our parents and children to understand what it is we are trying to say or recommend. With all my heart I certainly believe President Obama listen to needs of the people even though it may not seem so and what he is trying to do it is very clear and simple.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading more of your post this term.
